Quartz Mountain is the location of the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute where I went for 4 summers during high school. I loved OSAI - it's where I fell in love with modern dance. I wanted to snap a few pictures to show Trent the place where my life was changed. Here are some pics of the pavilion where we danced all day, the ampitheater where we performed, and a couple other sweet things!

Where are the McCool's? - Part 2

Where are the McCool's? - Part 1
It's been a while since I've posted anything. I guess I'm just not good at keeping up with this thing. Although I'm not surprised. It seems like every day I have a new idea of how I'm going to get in shape or read more or do something else productive. Each resolution lasts about 24 hours...
So here's a little bit of what's happened since March 7.
I (Alisa) went to Oklahoma for Spring Break and had a blast! It was a busy week...traveling all over the place to see as many people as I could! But it was so great!
As soon as I landed in Oklahoma, I grabbed a car from my parents and drove to Norman to see my bff, Julie, and the photographer from our Wedding, Benita. I had some time to myself, so I drove down memory lane just a bit. I went by campus and the Chi Omega house. I also had to take a picture of the red phone booth that's been on Campus Corner forever. It's just such a pretty campus!
The next day, I drove with my brother and his family to Quartz Mountain, a lake retreat in Southern Oklahoma. We had a great time hiking and swimming in the indoor pool. Maybe one day I'll tell you about our experience at the hotel restaurant and how it caused us to eat lunch at a local bar the next day!

Two Little Ballerinas
On Thursdays, Alisa teaches ballet to two precious little girls. They're the daughters of our friends Bobby and Charlotte Ann Adams. And boy are they cute! They've learned how to work my iPhone in the speaker dock that I take with me to use for music. And as soon as they figured out that my iPhone has a camera, they wanted their picture taken! Here's the result! These two little ballerinas are as sweet as can be and have stolen my heart!

Our humble abode...
Nothing very "picture worthy" has happened in the past couple of days, so I decided to post a few pics of our house instead. We've been working hard to de-bachelorfy the house since Alisa moved in. Basically, Alisa has decided to add a few feminine touches to make it feel more like home, and Trent has been so sweet to do what she asks him to do! Both the inside and the outside are still works in progress...but here's the progress so far!

Your attention, please! May I have your attention, please?!
My husband is a STUD! This weekend he finished a concrete block wall that he's been working on...well...since I moved in! It's been a long process, but totally worth it! And he's DONE! This weekend was a stressful one, but Trent persevered and finished the beast that is simply known as "the wall". Our backyard is a little "third world country" right now, but we have a plan to make it beautiful! Here are a couple of pictures of the current situation!

Today was a very uneventful day. Alisa had a doctor's appointment, and Trent had a few meetings. But they did make the effort to meet up for lunch at Surin West in Five Points. It was yummy! (No pictures...sorry!)
